Tuesday, July 12, 2005 Guess who I saw?? Well, there really isn't any way for anyone to know I suppose, but I saw an ex- of mine. He's not really an ex-. We talked on and off for while my sophomore year. The last time I heard from his was around Valentine's Day 2004. I talked to him... it was Valentine's night I think... anyway, I knew that night that I would never hear from him again. I was right. He never called me again. I ran into him today on my way to lunch, which confirms my belief that the metroplex is way too small. I was sure that I would never see him or speak to him again, EVER. He was quite chatty. Unfortunately, I was waiting for the light so I could cross the street, so I didn't have an excuse to not talk to him. He said that he would really like to talk to me... that we had something. He asked for my number, but I refused; I took his card, though. I was really into this guy... REALLY. He's a man's man -- strong, independent. Qualities that are becoming harder and harder to find. I never had to plan a date. He always took care of everything. I always admired his strength. Despite all of his best qualities, he was young and foolish. We both were. He wanted to have his way all the time; I wouldn't allow it. This was also at a time when I was far from God. At the time, I didn't care about his lack of spirituality. He works for Primera now... doing quite well I gather. He just bought a house. He's not even 23 yet. He always was very goal oriented and driven.
