Wednesday, July 27, 2005 I've been working a lot lately. Trying to finish my hours so that I get credit. I'm soooo tired of doing this though. Not that I don't love the people that I work with... they're absolutely adorable, but I haven't had a real summer vacation... nor will I get one. The week after I finish here, I go back to work on campus. Conclusion - NO SUMMER VACATION. It kinda sucks because this is my last summer as a college student. After this, it's on to the adult world. Having to move out on my own, get a job, etc. I know I've already said this, but it's a big deal having not had to actually be an adult for 21 years. I wish that I had a job secure already. I'm hoping to have one lined up before I actually graduate... and a place to stay. Portia wants me to come live wherever she goes to Grad School. Problem is she really doesn't know where that is yet. Jessica wants me to come live with her in Dallas. I don't know that Jessica and I would get along as roomates, though. Of course, I am basing this off one trip during which we had to share a hotel room for a week. It's different when you have your own bedroom and your own personal space. She would make a good roomate, and I know that she would have furniture. She also cooks and has good tastes -- in general. I also don't know if I could live with Portia. She's a little wild --- not, wild... social-- for my taste. Anyway, I suppose I have some months upon months to ponder this. posted by The Lady | 12:43 PM (0) comments
