Personal nonsense and updates on life!!

Saturday, August 20, 2005

So, I'm done with my internship, and I've been working an insane amount of hours at my on campus job this week (51.75 to be exact). School starts on Wednesday. I guess I'm ready. I feel a lot like I did my senior year in High School... apathetic. No so much that I don't care, but it's just another year in the life, you know. My only concern now is moving on to the next step in life -- a job. All of the other things don't concern me so much. This is not the end of an era. I will not have to go off and leave/miss all (and I use that word loosely) of my friends. Like in high school, the people that I care about, I will keep in touch with. It will be weird not hanging out with Portia almost everyday though. Truthfully, though, I am getting tired of this microsysten we call college. I am ready to move on the "the real world." Whatever that is. When we move on from college, so much of what we know about life becomes irrelevant. You start life over again. It doesn't matter who you were or what you did in college if you can't cut it in "the real world." College is like one big high school. Let's just hope life isn't like one big college from now on.
